Meteora Part 1

 


We visited Meteora last Friday, and it was incredible. Monastaries perched on massive pillars of rock carved out by waters many many years ago. I'd go into more detail if I had time. Perhaps after tomorrow. It was quite incredible.

Tomorrow morning we are heading up to Mount Olympus. We're going to be belaying into a large canyon then climbing back out again. I can't wait.

Notice on the picture in part 2 the ladder steps that the monks used to use to climb up to the second formation. You can see them on the left side of the picture.

Anyways, I'll have to do some hole filling in at some point here. This place is too much fun! I literally have no desire to spend time in front of a computer. This place is amazing.
